Theme 28: It's Going to Be A Bright Blue Day!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

1. Felicia Kramer, creator of Another Bright Idea, asked me to do an interview. I was truly, truly honored. Please visit her awesome blog, read the interview, check out her charades game and more!!! http://www.feliciakramer.blogspot.com/

2. If you did not have a chance to read the previous post, please take a moment to do so. There are new changes taking shape here. Be sure to read the Updated Guidelines at the end of this post as well. Thanks!

How you choose to interpret the theme is completely up to you. It simply needs to be tasteful – no pornography or messages of hate here. When you sit down to create, you cannot think about how people will or will not receive your work. You are required to simply enjoy the act of creating.

“If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive.” ~Eleanora Duse

“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build.” ~Robert Collier

“There is no blue without yellow and without orange.” ~Vincent van Gogh

“Blue flower, red thorns! Blue flower, red thorns! Blue flower, red thorns! Oh, this would be so much easier if I wasn't color-blind!” Donkey ~Shrek quotes

Oh, what a perfect theme for these summer days! Love it. Now if we can just gather more of our TST friends this week... :) Small but mighty, right?

Oooh - blue, my fave! I hope I can squeeze in time to participate! Sorry I've been MIA - this summer has been the busiest yet!

Natasha, thanks for the plug! I really enjoyed doing the interview with you.
I agree with your decision to limit the words and put the emphasis back on the art. I often found myself at a loss for words and wanted the work to speak for itself but felt somewhat obligated to SAY SOMETHING! I agree that focusing on the visuals takes TST back to the basics of its original mission statement. And I have to say, ever since I started my own blog I know how difficult and time consuming the posts are to prepare so I have all the respect and gratitude in the world for what you do here. Perhaps there's a different day and post for those who prefer to write - but that's your choice. As I learned in the interview, the demands on your time are huge, and the choice is always yours. You go, girl!

I'm excited to see what everyone is going to create. Thanks for being supportive and amazing. And feel free to go on as long as you like in comments...enjoy the weekend, creating and being you and NEVER feel the need to apologize for not being here. Life gets busy....there are a million things that take precedence...we will be around no worries.

Have a good weekend everyone.

hehehe I just might get it done this time!!! yeyyeyeye

Natasha - someone else said it - if you need to let go of this - even for a while - let it go - you, your needs, your sweet daughter and hubby are your first concern.
I know I'm one of the ones that did have some long long stuff with my pictures - I'm sorry - and most of those were edited to make them shorter!!! The right word doesn't always come to mind, and so I think I tend to go on with what I write.................I love the cummunity here - the feedback, sharing ideas, thoughts, successes, failures, making the failures work - thinking about that wonderful dog - but you have to take care of you! You - You, Natasha have given me so much, along with some wonderful comments from others here, I would much rather keep it short than to see it go altogether - but if that needs to be - we will live.
Change happens, and we all need to allow those changes that we need.
Take care of you. :)
