Imagine This...

Hellooo everyone...how are you?? Right now, I'm buried in boxes and the only things that can move - my fingers - are tap, tap, tapping away on this computer and waving hello to YOU!

It's official I don't like packing so I'm going to spend a little time dreaming here with you....

Would you rather ....

fly a fighter jet

take a trip in the Zero gravity plane

or drive a race car

I'm not sure I would choose to do those three things - all those emissions! - but if I had to pick one, I'd go with zero gravity. That would be a neat experience!

I probably would get air sick in Zero G and the fighter jet wouldn't be much better - I'll go with the race car - as long and there are no other drivers on the track !

Mortira - welcome! How are you? Great to have you here!! I didn't even think about the emissions..good point...I find I am torn between the fighter jet and the zero gravity...I'm scared the zero gravity would make me puke though LOL

TDavio - so awesome to see you here. You made me laugh so hard....I'm with you when it comes to the car racing...as long as I'm alone on that track I'd be fine...we could cheer for each other from the sidelines!

Ooh, can I choose bumper cars instead? LOL that comment about no other cars around made me think of those!

If not, definitely the zero g. I love the Gravitron ride at carnivals, so let's take that baby up in the air!

I'm torn between the fighter and the 0 G plane. I think it would depend on whether I could pipe my own music through the headset of the fighter.

I'll go with zero gravity. In my previous career I produced driving programs for automotive companies. I actually did drive a race car on the banked oval track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with my pro driver friend next to me (Thank G--!). It was terrifying - I thought I was going about 90 mph, actually was only going 60, and my driver subtlely had his finger on the steering wheel to keep me from crashing into the wall! Let me tell you it was scary. But when the pro drivers drove and I was the passenger, I LOVED it!

Amanda - I totally thought of bumper cars before too!! YES you can and I would join I think we would seriously crack each other up.

Sal - ok so say you could play any tunes you wanted = what would you listen to???

Felicia - I'm in for 0 G....I LOVE this story about being in a race car...now I want to even more...would you do it again??

definitely the race car, but with a 100% guarantee of safety :). I have no death wish, I am not a thrill-seeker, but oh, I do love speed, and handling a car. . . (and yes, my two tickets in my driving lifetime were for duplicate events, 25 years apart: yep, they pulled me over for going 34 in a 25 mph zone. . . and the second time, I was coming home from church!!!! so my fellow church goers passed Miss Maureen sitting in the back of a cop car . . . And while we are on the subject, that LAST time of being pulled over resulted in only a warning. Good thing--I was driving in only my leopard print bathrobe, just my birthday suit underneath, and was terrified of being stripsearched!! but that's another story . . .

so yeah, gimme the race car!!!

Natasha - I'm cool with the race cars as long as one of my driver friends is doing the driving. The thing was they used to try and outdo each other: "Let's see who can scare the **** out of the boss the most!"

I didn't like to drive on the tracks myself, which is a switch because I usually like to be the one in control. :)

Ok Aqua - that is just about the best teaser I've EVER heard for a story and now I NEED to hear that tale you wild woman...you are a riot!! What fun you bring to all you do

Felicia ...you have NO idea how badly I want to try this now...it's all your fault LOL...what fun ...how fast was the fastest they went to scare the **** out of the boss??

Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe album. It's a bit silly but I almost always imagine I'm flying a jet when I put that album on in the car and I think the chance to actually *do* a barrel roll during the beginning of Living Dead Girl would be the clincher!
That and the music calms me down so I wouldn't have a panic attack up there with all the buttons and read outs.
Otherwise it's 0 G all the way!

Aqua - you devil!

Natasha - on the oval they were going around 120 mph. On a road course, with twists and turns, it's probably around 90 (but scarier because it's up and down and twisty-squealy). I wish I could take you to a speedway somewhere and have one of my friends take you around. The closest I know of is Lime Rock, CT. Someday ...

Maureen!!!

Ok - absolutely the 0 gravity plane - I think that would be so fun to float around while zooming through space.
