A one time TV movie would be my choice--So much could be left out; and besides, there's not enough in my life to be in an hourly sitcome every night!! Boring!!!!
Linda I that was a HILARIOUS answer!! I'm still laughing..see there are definitely some embarrassing moments in my journals BUT I guess it would be better to get it all over in one shot as opposed to every night. I agree ;)
I like my life so much better now than I did a few years ago, so I think I'd choose the sitcom version. I'm not sure I'd last long as a nationally televised TV show, though. I think I'm too much of a "regular judy" for that.
Great question, as always, Natasha. Keep 'em coming.
oh yeah, nightly sit com for me!! but we better cue up a laugh track, just in case what I think is funny, is not what the audience thinks is funny. It could happen!!! Not everybody sees the humor in challenging your kids to a watermelon seed spitting contest, and then wetting your pants as you spit the farthest!!
I think it depends who does the asking. If it's some movie exec talking about my past I'd probably go for the film. Get the money and live my life. But if it's the writer in the sky type thing talking about my future "The next 3 months of your life as a movie or the next 6 years as a sitcom." I'm not so sure. I'd have to live out the drama either way but with the sitcom it's at least supposed to be a comedy. So long as I don't become Al Bundy the drama would be mostly light and actually funny. Most importantly at the end of the series I'm supposed to get a happy ending. Either way I'm probably the one doing the writing (particularly in the sitcom) so I'd retain some executive control right? Then I'm not so sure.
