Theme 43: All That Glitters is Art

How you choose to interpret the theme is completely up to you. It simply needs to be tasteful – no pornography or messages of hate here. When you sit down to create, you cannot think about how people will or will not receive your work. You are required to simply enjoy the act of creating.

This theme was inspired by my daughter, Doodle, who has a love of sparkly things that's inspiring. No matter the color as long as it has a little glitter, a little sparkle, she's in love. And truly we don't celebrate the sparkly things that exist inside or outside of us enough.

So this week any color, all the colors, use whatever feels right so long as you add a little sparkle to your creation.

Important Guidelines

The work submitted must be something you have created and/or worked on between the time the theme was revealed and the Thursday unveiling. Please submit your response to Natasha@creativenachos.com no later than end of day Wednesday, February 3rd if you would like it to be posted on Thursday, February 4th. OR send me a link to your response to include in the comments section of the post.

With your response please include:

1. Your name - either first name, shop name or both.

2. The name of your piece (if you choose to give it one)

3. Something you'd like to share (process of creation, idea behind piece) if you'd like to share anything. Please limit this to 2-3 sentences

4. The shop and/or blog links you'd like to include

5. Two photos of your piece or of each of the pieces (3x5 or 4x6 and 72dpi or a max of 96dpi - if you need any help with that please don't worry I'd be happy to help!)

Most importantly, let the glitter flow!

Giraffelabel - I love that your daughter is a sparkle lover as well..how old is she? I was so inspired by the way you created designs on your cuff that I'm super excited to see what magic you work with the beads this week! YAY!!

Sparkles...sparkles? I get to play with sparkles?!? Woo Hoo! I may even have a play-mate at my house this week; my sparkle-loving little one wants to play, too! This TST couldn't be more perfect!!!

YAY Trina!! I love that you may have a sparkle playmate - we all should - if anyone wants to invite a child, spouse, sparkle loving friend to play please do! What fun!! I'm so excited :)

Sparkles I can do. Way too many ideas swirling around in my head.

Love the Dorothy shoes. We have them in silver. I think we are on our 4th pair now.

YAY Jodi! I can't wait to see what beaded beauty of sparkly delight you create. Yesn the shoes...I get the whole 4th pair thing. When my husband and I were getting them for her for Christmas we had to decide if we should get one pair or two - what if she grows out of them fast? This red shoe addict (following in Mommy's footsteps) would not survive without them LOL

I've got a gold pair just about the size of those red ones . . the little girl inside me can wear them, but I can't!! But they are on a shelf, reminding me to dance and sparkle.

I'm really looking forward to playing with this week's prompt!!
