Or would you rather be in Cirque du Soleil ?

I would rather be in the Cirque de Soleil. I love watching all of the amazing acrobatics and choreography that goes on in those shows. Also, the animal acts often make me a little sad.

My sister and my niece both do the Trapeze, and my sister preforms and teaches doing the hoop and the tissue (the crazy fabric that hangs from the ceiling and you wrip up in and fall down and every one thinks you are going to hit the floor). I wish I were that talented.

Natasha, on another note, I wrote a comment for the Treat last week, did it get lost in cyber space somewhere? If it did, I'll go back and re-write it.

Thanks for making me think!

I'd rather be in the Cirque du Soleil costume shop! It's always been a fantasy of mine....

Trina - that's awesome! I can't believe they do trapeze and your sister doed that wrap thing. I've always wanted to try that but I bet its much harder than it looks! And you are insanely talented in other ways that I bet they wish they were ;) I never got a comment so sorry ;( You will have to re-write it BOO. Can't believe the Blogger monster ate it!

Ladybird - how are you? I agree that going into the costume shop would be the best..it would be the ultimate dressup!!!!

I got really close to the Cirque du Soleil costume shop a couple of years ago; I did some costume alterations for a Cirque Innosta show that took up residency for the summer at Denver's Elitch Gardens Theme Park.
I don't have a desire (or the crazy talent) to be a performer, but the fantastical costumes and makeup are another story...now you've got my gears turning for a Cirque du Soleil costume shop tour blog post!

Ladybird - that's awesome! You have to write a post now...I want to hear more about that story! Also have you ever sketched out your own costumes for Cirque du Soleil costumes? I'd LOVE to see that!

I would love to do either! I would REALLY love to be a trapeze artist! A circus school happens in santa fe so I should watch for it to come back!

Erica - does the trapeze look amazing? There is a trapeze school over on the Westside that I want to visit once this baby is here..I've wanted to do it since I was little. Then Carrie Bradshaw did it in an episode of Sex and the City and a dream was reborn! LOL

oh wow a fellow TST'er in Alb! Erica that wedding gown is gorgeous.
There was a wonderful cherry tree in the backyard where I grew up - I spent countless hours in that tree. There was one limb that I could hang upside down from (right over the concrete patio!!!), the bark on the tree was quite smooth so I was able to swing around on it - seriously wanted to run away and join the circus!! A trapeze artist in the Ringling bros or Cirque du Soleil?? lolololo Probably Cirque - and oh yeah those costumes would be so much fun to do!!! Natasha - thanks for prompting a wonderful childhood memory! I have many fond ones in that tree!!

Lisian I loved hearing that childhood tale. Memories and moments like that are priceless..I could see that tree thank you for sharing that here. That will stay with me for some time to come!

Oh, there's no contest for me. It's the circus, hands down. My lifelong dream has been to be the head pooper-scooper for the elephants. Really. Truly. (but only if I get to wear sparkly tights and a tiara while I scoop). Dream big, girls ... .dream big!!!

Maureen - that might the BEST comment ever! What color tights?? LOVE the tiara

Gold sparkly tights. I think that would harmonize best with any brown splotches that might appear on them . . .

Cirque, definitely! I've seen on TV when "everyday" people get to try the trapeze, over a giant net...I would love to do that someday. Can you imagine that feeling of freedom? I always loved that weightless feeling I got on swingsets, which would be magnified about a thousand times on a trapeze......oooh, that breeze in your hair! Amazing. :) ....until you flop in the net. Oh well. ;)
