Celebrate Exciting New Works from Incredibly Talented Artists

First, please know that I'm sorry the turn around time on this Thursday (Wednesday) Sweet Treat showcase was so tight. I know there were lots of folks who were strapped for time and many working on tomorrow's project. You were all missed!!

I have to say though that this beautiful Sweet Treat is EXACTLY what I needed today!! The works are exceptionally refreshing and filled with a sense of peace, wonderful vibrant colors and a fantastic feeling of coziness. Not mention there are funny stories, a bottle of wine AND the ability to *meet* one of our favorite TST-ers in person...sort of. These marvelously talented professionals made my day....

Please come join me for a little fun....

Michelle, creator of mkc photography, created this fabulous piece titled, A Story of Lemons, for the Dreaming in Color theme.

"My husband came home from an unchaperoned trip to the grocery store with a huge bag of lemons," said Michelle. "I had asked him to get "fruit," never imagining I would have to specify "fruit that people like to eat for snacks!" After I finished laughing at him, I reached for my camera because I was enthralled with their vibrant yellow color and I immediately thought of beautiful still life paintings that feature lemons. I've written a blog post to go with this photograph - you fabulous folks are welcome to stop by and have a laugh." :-)

Salvaged Expression created this awesome Ugly Hat #3: Wild Water Lily for the "Let Beauty Rain Down" theme.

"I started getting together yarns for my third Ugly Hat and the colors I chose reminded me of my piece for Let Beauty Rain Down Upon... I made this one a little tidier and smaller since it just seemed like a dantier kind of hat.," said Salvaged. "The radiating circles from the center out remind me of ripples in a lake or puddle and the whole thing is one of my favorite pieces to date."

"Also the reason you're not seeing my beloved foam head is that I'm stuck in Pittsburgh pending auto repairs and can't get back in time to take my usual photo set. So you'll have to make do with a wine bottle and a somewhat scruffy and very blue me!"

Kelly, creator of Backward Glances, created these gorgeous pieces for the "Sublime Sunset" theme.

"I was so lucky to capture these two great blue herons silhouetted against the water, which is in turn reflecting a spectacular sunset," said Kelly. "It was definitely a case of being in just the right place at just the right time - and everyone teases me for carrying my camera everywhere! "

Don't you feel refreshed and filled with peace and happiness??

Please share your thoughts, ask the artists questions, leave a comment and some love here. Then, go visit them at their shops and blogs, share some more and tell a friend! Thanks so much for visiting!!

Greetings!

Michelle, lemons are great snacks if you poke a hole in and insert the straight part of a candy cane. You suck up the juice thru the straw and it's the best lemonade ever!!! :-D And in the meantime, a quite loverly piccy! :-)

Salvaged, hope your car repairs come thru okay. In the meantime, why Ugly Hat? I think it's quite beautiful - all those loverly colours. :-)

Kelly, those are indeed awesome! :-) Yes, carrying a camera with a lot can lead to very beautiful things. I'm glad you did here. :-)

Gotta get back to my own TST work, but it was awesome to see all this! :-) Thnx so much for sharing! :-)

BB & GF, All! :-)

I guess my note was lost in cyberspace so let me try it again.
Those lemons are beautiful and you can save the seeds to try to grow your own lemon tree. I'm trying to do the same with key limes since I like them in my cranberry juice.
The heron on the water is a really breathtaking photo and I'm sure one of many you'll get in a lifetime of carrying a camera!

Thanks for all the wishes of a healthy car! It was just a side mirror which has been replaced and actually being in town turned out to be a good thing because I had to be there to sign paperwork. My SO and I were just approved for our first home!

Kyool! I had the wonderfulness of having them that way once at a medieval Faire, and I've been looking for them ever since! They are so immensely refreshing on a hot day. Makes me almost tempted to go into the biz myself! :-P (almost. :-D)

Glad you're back! :-)
